Wedelia (Wedelia Trilobata)
Wedelia, commonly known as Creeping Daisy, is a fast-growing ground cover plant admired for its bright yellow flowers and dense green foliage. Native to South America, it has become popular in tropical and subtropical gardens around the world, including Asia, Africa, and Australia. Other common names include Sphagneticola Trilobata, Bay Biscayne Creeping-Oxeye, and Singapore Daisy.
This plant forms a low, spreading mat, growing up to 1–2 feet in height and spreading 6–8 feet wide, making it excellent for covering large areas, slopes, or bare patches in gardens. The leaves are triangular, glossy green, and slightly serrated, while the small, vivid yellow flowers bloom almost year-round, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
Wedelia is highly valued for its ease of growth, low maintenance, and resilience.
