Thevetia, also known as Cascabela thevetia, is a small to medium-sized evergreen tree native to Central and South America and widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. It typically grows 60 cm to 120 cm tall and forms a dense, bushy habit. The tree has glossy, lance-shaped, dark green leaves that are pointed at the tip, giving it a lush, tropical appearance.

Thevetia produces striking, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of yellow, pink, and white. These fragrant blooms appear in clusters at the ends of branches and can flower throughout the year, with peak flowering in summer. The tree also develops small, fleshy fruits that mature from green to yellow or orange.

All parts of Thevetia are highly toxic, containing potent cardiac glycosides, so caution is required when planting near children or pets. Despite this, it is a popular ornamental tree for gardens, roadsides, and landscapes due to its year-round flowering and attractive foliage.
