Peruvian Apple Cactus (Cereus Repandus)
The Peruvian Apple Cactus, also known as Cereus Repandus, is a tall, columnar cactus native to South America. It can reach up to 10 m in its natural habitat, though as a houseplant it usually grows to 1.5–1.8 m. The cactus features a ribbed, cylindrical stem that may branch as it matures. It produces large, nocturnal, white to cream-colored flowers up to 20 cm in diameter, pollinated by bats and moths, followed by edible, apple-like fruit. This cactus is drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and ideal for xeriscape gardens or indoor desert-themed displays.
