Mango Tree (Mangifera Indica)
Mango Tree, scientifically known as Mangifera indica, is a tropical fruit tree in the Anacardiaceae family, native to South Asia and widely cultivated throughout tropical regions worldwide. Depending on the variety and growing conditions, the tree can grow 60 cm to 2.5 m tall, making it suitable for both garden planting and container cultivation.
The tree features a dense, spreading canopy with a thick trunk and dark green, glossy leaves measuring 15–35 cm in length. Mango Trees produce small, fragrant flowers that may be male or hermaphrodite, followed by large, oval-shaped drupes. The fruits have smooth, waxy skin and juicy, sweet flesh, with flavor profiles varying by variety. Some fruits can weigh up to 2 kg, making them both ornamental and highly productive.
