The Flame Tree, scientifically known as Delonix regia, is a spectacular ornamental tree native to Madagascar and widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. While mature trees can grow up to 12 m tall, smaller cultivated varieties typically reach a height of 2–3 m, making them suitable for gardens and landscaped spaces.

The tree is renowned for its striking clusters of bright red-orange flowers that bloom during the summer months. Each flower features five broad petals and a prominent stamen, creating a dramatic visual display that attracts bees, butterflies, and birds. The foliage is equally attractive, with fern-like leaves that can grow up to 50 cm long, composed of numerous small leaflets measuring about 2–3 cm each. Hardy and adaptable, the Flame Tree tolerates a wide range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils. It thrives in full sun and benefits from regular watering, especially during dry periods.
