Wedelia (Wedelia Trilobata)
Wedelia, also known as Wedelia Trilobata or Creeping Daisy, is a fast-growing ground cover plant native to South America and now widely naturalized in Asia, Africa, and Australia. It is also referred to as Sphagneticola Trilobata, Bay Biscayne Creeping-Oxeye, or Singapore Daisy. This low-growing plant reaches 30–60 cm in height and can spread extensively, covering 1.8–2.4 m in width. Its glossy, green, triangular leaves with serrated edges create a dense mat, while small, bright yellow flowers bloom year-round, adding vibrant color to gardens and landscapes.
Wedelia is hardy and easy to grow, thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant, heat-resistant, and requires minimal maintenance, making it ideal for slopes, borders, or as a living carpet in garden beds.
