Golden Shower Tree (Cassia Fistula)
The Golden Shower Tree, or Cassia Fistula, is a medium-sized deciduous tree native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Growing up to 3–4 m in height, it features a straight trunk with smooth grayish-brown bark and a wide, umbrella-like canopy. The pinnate leaves consist of 6–8 pairs of oval-shaped, dark green leaflets.
Its most striking feature is the cascade of bright yellow flowers that bloom in large clusters, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. After flowering, the tree produces long, cylindrical brown seed pods. Its vibrant blooms and elegant form make it a popular choice for ornamental planting in gardens, parks, and along streets.
