Flame Tree, scientifically known as Delonix regia, is a spectacular ornamental tree native to Madagascar and widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. While mature trees can reach up to 12 m, smaller varieties typically grow to about 2–3 m tall. It is celebrated for its brilliant red-orange flowers, which bloom in clusters during the summer. Each flower has five petals and a prominent stamen, attracting pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and birds.

The tree’s leaves are fern-like, with individual leaflets measuring 2–3 cm long, forming elegant fronds up to 50 cm in length. Flame Tree is hardy, tolerates a variety of soil types—including sandy, loamy, and clay—and thrives in full sun. Regular watering is required, particularly during dry periods, though established trees can withstand moderate drought.
